Since the situation i had with my previous digipak idea being too difficult i while have to re-think a more simplistic idea but still reflect it to my genre and artist. Being simplistic dose not mean it will have to be a bad one even though i can possible make another digipak in so little time to be honest i could of started a new one earlier.
So im looking for something in my genre which is more Hip-hop/rap genre, and still follow the "DO's and DONT's List".
So some ideas:

TROUBLE!!!!! noooooo
I have to change my ancillary idea as its too difficult to make a big problem.
This so hard, trying to make the silver and red lines was too difficult now i have to plan a new idea.
I thought it could be done but this is'nt the first time.
Time is flying also no i have to rush my ancillary work.

Rule of Thirds Research
The Rule of Thirds is commonly used in visual arts, such as, photgraphy and design. The grid is used to differentiate the points of heightened tension and energy, inwhich, the human eye would naturally and automatically direct its focus to. Before, I started on my Digipak design, I observed a few examples of these grids that were placed with images, to get an idea of what would be the best way to compose and organise the elements, in my Digipak. Below, I have roughly marked out a grid for the front panels of my digipak and will explain why I have composed the objects, as they are.
The Red circles indicate that this place would be where the eye would focus at first, therefore, I believe as my priority is to sell the Artist. I placed him at those points for the front and back panel. The Green circles, indicates that this is where light is focused, so the light from the buildings and the river, I thought was this was the best place to assert them. As one can see, I have a clean and neat structure to my Digipak cover, as I placed the text, well out of the way from the images, to give a sense of division and a easy understanding, this is higlighted in the Orange box.

Photoshop
Using photoshop to create my Ancillary work is going to be hard work, i had not as much experience on Photoshop as other software.
I have started on my album cover and learnt and revised on using the magic wond and to cut photos resize them insert them into my template for my front album cover it's time consuming yet its a great experience.

A Selection of Images to use in the inner panel
These are a few images I am considering using from the video photoshoot, for the inner panel of the digipak. One thing I am going to have to consider is apply a photo filter to change the tone, to blue. As that's the dominating theme that goes through my digipak.

Font colour
This is the drake "Take care" Album, drake is a rap artist, usually associated with his grand wealth, his celebrity rapper friends such as Lil wayne. This album has a colour scheme of gold and bronze, a sign of wealth and power. This is what I wanted to have on my album cover to have a similar effect. So took a similar approach on front colour.
Researching other Digipaks & progress on my digipak.
Whilst designing my digipak, and when it came down to formatting the track list I wanted to do something different, so I took inspiration from the " The hold steady" Album digipak version. At the back panel they have something very similar.
This digipak had some interesting idea's especially when it came down to formatting text and I really like it, it gave a sense of style.
Progress on digipak part 2 !!!
Adding the golden boarders, to connote wealth and it adds a quality effect, as well as outlining my front and back panel picture. I am trying to keep a consistent colour theme.
This is the Digipak code, I could have uploaded from resources however, because it was white, so for me to follow a consistent colour theme I done it my self.
Progress on digipak!

- Use appropriate sizes
- Use clear photos that are in focus
- Use photos that are an appropriate shape for tge page
- Use a layout that follows the ruleof thirds for composition
- use an appropriate type face that follows genre conventions
- Be careful were you place the fonts
- etc.......
- Stretch images
- use layer style
- use unnecessary effects
- place text across artist's face
- use fonts simply because you "like it"
- feel you need a separate photo on every panel

mock up drawing ancillary
Front and back
This is my front and back cover Rhyme royale its my city is the artist name and album cover. I used the theme of Hustle and Flow film poster. The colour of the text would be silver platted giving it a metal look and also some in red. The wavy lines they also follow the theme and colour code. the font used "COPPERPLATE GOTHIC BOLD" which i used using microsoft word. There is also going to be city scape on top it will be mirrored for both sides.
Moreover, there is going to be 3 different pictures of the artist at the bottom of the front relating to the scheme of the music video suggesting that the rise to
power.
Design Activity of Ancillary Product
This is the Advertising poster for Rhyme Royale, the theme and the swerve graphic will be prevalent in the poster, the album front panel will take up half of the poster. Thereafter, the font of Rhyme Royale and the album name with the reviews from critics and music magazines, with information of where to purchase the music from.
This is the back panel of the Digipak, which has the font of 'BLAIR MD ITC TT' from Microsoft word, which goes on the CD, also, on the border of the CD holder, there will be the same rested buildings, which carries on the them from the front panel of the Digipak. On the left panel, will have a image that will show a personality of Rhyme Royale, in this case, I took the scene of the Banquet from the music video, of course, the shot is not very clear, therefore, a filter will have to be placed to make it clearer.
This is the front and back panels of the Digipak, I decided to incorporate a swerve design, with the buildings of London resting on the curves. This will require photoshop to create these designs, with the pen tool and to work with the opacity, regarding what is in more of a a focus in the digipak. Of course, a image of Rhyme Royale will be central in the front panel, in addition, there will be a sticker providing information on the hit singles and exclusive tracks, that the album consists of. 'It's My City' will go across the bottom of the front panel.
Planning: Mock up....!
This is my front and back panel. I made sure I had a large image of the artist, large bold fonts and sticker saying "hit single" I will increase the font size and make sure the colour of the background is blue / grey / black. The back panel will have the track list, all the conventional stuff such as bar codes.
The inside cover I will have the image from the music video we made, however I probably will put an effect upon it so gives that artistic feel to it, the CD area, I will put an image of the city and make it transparent to a certain %, like most CD's have in that area, it's a convention.
The advertisement, will have a blue theme followed from the front panel colours, however I will also have the image of the album up there, as well as tour dates however after talking as a class, I found out the quotes and tour dates won't be found on the same advertisement poster. I will also have another image with the album name and a logo of HMV where it can be bought.
