This is Rolldeep featuring Jodie Connor - Good Times, this video as compared to the soundtrack we want to do, has similar conventions and mise-en-scene, as it's a party song. The video boasts colourful and celebratory ideals with the objects in the video, such as, the colourful and casual clothing, the confetti and balloons, the numerous bottles of alcohol and many other features. It's a feel good song, the actors within the video are all smiling and appear to be having a good night, that aspect incorporated with the feel of the upbeat soundtrack is a effective way of connecting with their target audience, which is young, fashionable and energetic people in their adolescent ages; which is the same sort of target audience that we have for our video. The idea of the high energetic dancing, may not be a particular hit in our video, as it wouldn't comply very well with the soundtrack, this video is based on before & during the night party. Overall, the colours and the camera movements and edits, especially, the speed up and slow motion of particular shots will very much be effective in our video. The main convention we would like to incorporate, is getting the video to have a flow and connectivity with the soundtrack, as, 'Good Times' demonstrates.
This is Wiz Khalifa - No Sleep (directed by Colin Tilley), this video sort of follows our ideal of the aftermath of a good party, as he is on the floor getting back up and explaining about what has happened in his lyrical narrative. The majority of the video, bases the medium close up shot on Wiz Khalifa, himself, this follows the convention of promoting the artist, which is what we have to do, in order, to promote our group of upcoming artists, there are sparks and flashes in the video, considering the mise-en-scene, with the party scenes, that of the similar effect of the Rolldeep video, which we want to incorporate, as it would make our video more vibrant and have a energetic rush.
This is Sean Kingston - Party All Night, this video has edits of text that work well with the video, as it amplifies the lyrics, if considering, the theory of Andrew Goodwin. We might consider playing around with text and the slow motion from different angles, as this caught our eye and amazed us, we would to imply the same effect on to our audience, aswell.
This is Wiz Khalifa - Say Yeah. I showed the video to the members of my group and the really enjoyed the vibrancy and the use of edits, that made to video look the part. The transitions, we particularly favoured, were neat and edgy, we would really consider using them in our video. Also the flashes, which complied with the beat was really eye-catching, the mise en scene, is clear about stating that this is a party and a good night out, the bottles, the flashy chains and clothing, with the females in party dresses are some of the aspects we will defiinitely incorporate in to our video.
This Cobra Starship - You make me feel. I like this song, as it uses the mise-en-scene effectively for the party which is conducted in a lounge, which we will consider, it has a range of flashing colours, that we can embody as the Canopy shisha Lounge has different lounges with different colour themes.
