The music industry is in decline in its sales of the actual music due to the facts of piracy. Since the days of Napstar there is less and less of people buying singles or albums. Piracy is everywhere you would just need to type the name of a certain song and its in your phone or iPod because of this the music industry has figured another way to earn there money from thier fans. There are still some loyal fans who go to a record store and buy albums but the bunch of people cant pay for the bill of the music industry so the try look into merchandise, concert sales, application like iTunes (apple) who give a cut to the music industry after download sales.
