Research for Music Video: Analysis of a music Video

What I personally think what makes a good music video is that if they capture the interest of the audience this could be from outfits such as Lady gaga's - in her music video "Lady Gaga - Telephone ft. Beyonce" in the opening scene she has sun glass made / covered with burning cigarettes. The music video of this image consists of high amounts of jump cuts to keep the audience fully engaged at all times, this also is helped through the infectious dance routine and costume.

Why I also think this video is a great example of a music video form is that it has no set story line which people can understand so, people will watch it again and again to figure and solve what the video is really about, which gains publicity and it becomes a viral video over social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

What also I think what makes it a good music video is that it logically implementing promotional items such as the VIRGIN phone and the Dre.Laptop.
